About This Course

American English File 2 is a pre-intermediate level English course designed for learners who have completed elementary English and want to improve their accuracy, fluency, and confidence in communication. The course continues to develop all four language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—while placing strong emphasis on practical, real-life communication in American English.

Students build on their existing knowledge by learning more complex grammar structures, expanding their vocabulary, and improving pronunciation. They practice using English in everyday situations such as describing past events, making plans and predictions, giving advice, expressing opinions, comparing things, and talking about experiences. Interactive activities, pair and group work, and engaging listening tasks help learners speak more naturally and understand spoken English more easily.

The course also includes clear grammar explanations, regular review sections, and integrated pronunciation practice to support steady progress and confident communication.
